Clefhop is made by High5 Labs LLC. This page says what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
An account holder's name, email address and password (stored hashed). For each profile, a display name, an avatar choice, settings, and a record of practice: which notes were shown, what was answered, how long it took and when. That record is the product; it is what the stats and the log are made of.
Payments
The Family Pass is paid through Stripe. Card details go to Stripe directly, and we never see a card number. We keep a record of the purchase on the account: when it was bought, the amount, and Stripe's reference for it, so the pass opens on every device signed in to the account and a refund can find it. Stripe keeps its own record under its privacy policy.
Microphone and MIDI
Voice and piano modes use your device's microphone and MIDI devices in the browser. Piano pitch detection runs on your device. High5 Labs does not record or store microphone audio. Voice mode uses your browser's speech service on the web and Apple's speech recognition in the app; those services may send audio to their servers for recognition, subject to their policies. You can use Tap, Keys or MIDI without speech recognition.
Children
A parent or guardian holds the account and signs in; a child does not have a sign-in of their own. A child's profile is a first name (or a nickname), an emoji and the practice history it builds, and nothing else. We do not ask a child for an email address, a photo, a birthday or a location. We do not show advertising and we do not sell data to anyone.
To remove one child's profile and its history, open Profiles, choose Edit beside the name, then Remove Profile. To remove everything, open Account and choose Delete My Account. Both take effect right away.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. That is all.
Deleting
Delete a profile from Profiles, or the whole account from Account. Both remove the data right away, including the record of any Family Pass on the account.
